Hi everyone
I passed my last two exams this sitting and have now completed my PER and professional ethics as of 22nd August.
Has anyone completed and had their invitation to membership yet and how long did it take to come through?I know it can take a couple of weeks to get an email but finding it hard to be sitting patiently! 😉
Thanks
August 28, 2012 at 12:45 pm #104729Hi Barky. I passed my final paper this session as well and am through with the Ethics module also even though its not mandatory for me. I have accumulated the relevant experience and ‘banked’ my STR and even though there seems to be some glitch with the perf objectives in my status report but at least the time completed in a relevant role is correct in the status report.
Like you I’m also awaiting the invitation to membership but I wasn’t aware that it took a few weeks for th e-mail to come in.
August 28, 2012 at 1:26 pm #104730what is says on the website is that it takes about 10-12 days to ‘invite’ you to membership. Once you accept, then it takes another couple of weeks to complete.
This is still quicker than what it says if you submit an application for membership which they say takes about 6 weeks to process…August 29, 2012 at 5:20 am #104731Barky have you gotten the e-mail ‘invite’ yet?
August 29, 2012 at 1:34 pm #104732I know my post is a start of another topic, But this thread seems appropriate. I am recording my last three year experience in one go and wondering how I should i enter it in the MyExperience. My answers of 550 words to a single challenge questions seems very less for a 3year experience. And I am not sure what happens once my workplace mentor approves it. Can anybody give me an idea on how I will be recording my 3 year experience in the PER? Should I answer each PO 3 times for 3 years? Apprecaiting any replies.
September 3, 2012 at 1:09 pm #104733just got my email invite 🙂 So that was about 10 days in all – much quicker than submitting an application it seems!
September 4, 2012 at 10:25 am #104734Congrats Barky! Not sure how you arrived at the 10 days though as the results came out on August 08 so that’s almost a month. I’ve written to ACCA to incorporate my ‘banked’ STR against my performance objectives. Hoping for a positive response soon INSHA ALLAH.
September 4, 2012 at 1:35 pm #104735i hadn’t completed all my PER until about the 22nd August so they wouldn’t begin the invite process until this is done as well as the exams.

Congrats!
After you said “yes”, it takes how long to get the “accepted” mail?
