Hello, sir. Im currently doing F9 and started thinking of investing into some shares. In chapter 2 ive seen the explanations of Stock Exchange. Is it the same as Wall Street?
And another thing is Broker and Broker Dealer. How can I become one? Is it enough if i graduate as ACCA qualified? Or do i need some extra degree?
And what if i told you that ive got some savings about $5000 and wanted to invest. What would you advices me? (without any obligation and questions asked)
Wall Street is not a stock exchange – it is the street in NY were most of the investing activity takes place.
The New York stock exchange operates in the same way at the stock exchange in the UK.
You could not become a broker on your own – you would have to join a firm of brokers. There is no specific qualification required. Having ACCA will help, but it depends on the firm employing you as to what they would require.
I am certainly not going to try and advise you as to where to invest your money. (And I am not even allowed to – I am a UK qualified accountant and am not authorised to give investment advice 🙂 )
