investment decision making process has four steps (as given in BPP)
a) idea credition
b) screening
c) financial analysis
d) review
the meaning of financial analysis and screening is given as same which is – “to screen out unsuitable proposals by looking at the impact of the project on stakeholders and whether they support orgainzation stratergy ”
DOUBTS – are screening and financial analysis same or is there any difference ?
I really don’t know why BPP has bothered giving these four steps!
Screening is just an overall look at the options available and eliminating some of them.
Financial analysis is then looking in detail.
