May I know the difference between ‘Perpetual inventory system’ with ‘Periodic inventory system’ ?

Perpetual inventory system is the same as ‘continuous inventory recording’, which is explained on Pager 44 of our free lecture notes (and the free lectures that go with them) 🙂

Hi John,
Do we need to know both methods for the FA exam? Or just the perpetual inventory system mentioned in your lectures?

Both methods. (The perpetual inventory system cannot be asked as a calculation question, but you are expected to know what it is.)
