intimidation threat

An audit supervisor will not be promoted to audit manager unless he agrees to with an inappropriate treatment.
In quiz of OT, this is names as intimidation threat, why cant this be self interest threat?

Threat are not always mutually exclusive. If a client threatens to beat you up unless you give a clean audit report, this is obviously intimidation but it is also self interest because you might want to retain a straight nose and what you consider to be your good looks.
