    Dear sir,
    I hope you are fine.
Can Internal Auditor share its workplan with Human Resource department?
As far as I know, the Internal Auditor can only share its reports with channel specified to them, usually executive directors. However I have confusion regarding workplan that whether can it be shared with Human Resource as internal audit work is confidential and their findings and planning can only be shared with channel specified to them.
I will be very happy if you can assist me regarding above issue.
    Thanks in advance.

If HR department is part of the scope of the IA audit, it would not be appropriate for the work plan to be shared. If, however, HR is not subject to IA and there is some valid reason why HR should want information from IA’s workplan, it may be appropriate to share information – but I suggest it would be only the relevant information that would be shared – IA wouldn’t simply handover everything.

That said, there are some very weird organisational structures in the world, and if HR is somehow in a position of oversight of the operations of all departments and management wants every department to be justifying their existence or budgets through HR, there’s no reason why those to whom IA reports cannot dictate that IA shares information with HR.
