At least at a pass is enough. It was a challenging paper for me.
August 8, 2012 at 4:40 pm #103095please who knows how many attempts we are allowed per paper?
F9 is really tough as i suspect that they are given strict instruction to mark only what is on paer..It has a high discursive element and of course many times you can describe things in your own words..not necessarily exactly what is on marking scheme…I have taken tougher papers, but this one just beats me!August 8, 2012 at 4:47 pm #103096AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

48% 🙁 is there any good reason to get marks between 47 & 49?
I hear from so many people about scoring between this range, and i personally score 48% and 49% in almost 4 papers out of 8 papers?
what am i mistaking, i must correct my mistake so that i will never see marks in 40’s.
anyone with good advice?Also attempted F8 – 60% Pass 🙂

Did anyone pass just using open tuition? I tried it last year but got a dismal 24% but preparation was poor. I only used Open tuition and wonder if that is enough?I passed with 57% just using Open Tuition and a couple of past papers. Would recommend you get an exam practice book from one of the tuition providers though, just to get some practice in, I felt I wasn’t prepared enough but am delighted to have passed.

72% for F9!
Very happy with this result… Bringing my total average for the first 9 exams (foundation & skills) to 75% with first-time passes for all of them. Awesome.
🙂
Saba, amazing results, well done! If you’re a prize winner, ACCA let you know roughly 3 weeks after the results come out.
August 8, 2012 at 9:25 pm #103104thank you benfabregas, aneelraja and everyone else. I am overwhelmed by your appreciation.
yes i secured those marks 🙂I am a full time student of Kaplan Birmingham, the guidance i received from my tutors, open tuition forums and determination helped me achieve these scores. kaplan revision kits and pocket notes are simply excellent, i would say i mainly used these two books for my exams.
i am sure u all have the potential to do just as well, a little determination is all u need. u need to devote the last 3 weeks completely to ur revision kit depending on how many papers u r taking, and ull do greatAugust 8, 2012 at 9:27 pm #103105up to what worldwide ranks does ACCA announce?
this link is from a tuition provider, i believe –
https://www.saa.org.sg/useruploads/files/prizewinners-accanoticeboarddec2011examinationspdf.pdfi have scored higher than the marks given, but I have not received any world rank in dec 2011. there are many other websites that have given d names of students with their world ranks, even upto 25th rank.
Could someone pls explain this to me.August 8, 2012 at 10:40 pm #103106AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

August 9, 2012 at 11:13 am #103113Failed 36 can’t believe it as this was the only exam I have walked out of feeling confident. I was sure I had passed. Would anyone recommend an admin review?? Does anyone know if this would have any chance of changing the result??
August 9, 2012 at 1:54 pm #103114I see lots of people struggle with this paper. I was preparing for it but I didn’t go to the exam.
I was wondering as the paper is so difficult should I take it on it’s own in December? I was planning to do F7 and F9 but won’t it be too much bearing in mind that I have a child and full time job?August 9, 2012 at 2:42 pm #103115F7 has a big syllabus so there is a lot of work to cover you may be better off taking one at a time. Although there are lots of easy marks available for workings etc. As for f9 sounds as if a lot of people have struggled. It’s the first one I’ve failed & I thought I did really well on the day!! Think I’m going to have to put a lot of work in to pass that one.
