something unintelligible… may be a vast amount of negative comments influenced the examiner and he adjusted the marking scheme…
i got 75%, whereas i was planning to resit it in Dec, no matter how strange the exam was it’s anyhow fine, as if the ACCA was easy to get then it would lose its value.August 8, 2012 at 6:14 pm #102737AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

I was so concerned that I had failed F5 after being unable to complete the 10 mark trends question and making many many mistakes on other questions. It was also the first time I’ve sat 2 exams at the same time, so added pressure for me as I study from home using the BPP textbook and practice kit.
However I passed both F5 and F8 with 87% – my highest percentage to date.
Since 5am this morning I have therefore been genuinely concerned that it’s a mistake, for example that someone had perhaps typed my F8 result into the system in error or had done something incorrect with my marks on the system. I even told my boss that!
However I have now read the comments on the forum and it seems that many of us are in the same bizarre position! So the ACCA must have done something with the mark scheme, as this was my worst exam to date in terms of mistakes made etc (out of 8 exams) and in my eyes 87% is near impossible following my performance!
All I can say is that if it is correct then the ACCA have been very fair, as I put so much effort into studying but didn’t think it had shown at all on this paper due to the questions set!

87% for F5!
Very happy with this result… Bringing my total average for the first 9 exams (foundation & skills) to 75% with first-time passes for all of them. Awesome.

right this is really bizarre as i was expecting to get a mark around 30% based on my performance so a genuine fail but I got 48% no idea how and am now gutted i missed out by 2 marks.
Really surprised to read so many people passed as the acca must have definately jigged the marks. If i go for an admin review what are the chances they will turn my score into a pass? what do you guys think?August 10, 2012 at 8:28 am #102754AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

@ Agnieszkal congratulations for doing soo well in F5 , you only loosed like 5 marks could you share your secret in doing sooo welllll ???????? This paper is a really challenging paper….I thought of this paper as the one of more difficult, so I spent more time on it than on the others I took. But what helped me for sure is just looking through the books the day before exam, searching for all the details that were not practised in the questions (and these were for example time series) and making sure I remember how to apprach them. In my opinion, difficulty of that paper was the amount of different issues – not very complex, but multiple topics to remember. So I just wanted to make sure I know these 🙂
August 14, 2012 at 8:31 pm #102761i have passed F5 with 84 Marks by the grace of God. Open Tuition receives a partial credit too.
It was a really tough paper but i did too well. was expecting somewhere between ninety to ninety five. a ten marks margin, but not too bad. have to work harder for the papers to come.
I passed F4 too with 86 marks. Both in the first attempt and at the age of eighteen 🙂August 15, 2012 at 6:31 pm #102762So happy for you guys who have been successful..F5 is indeed a challenging paper ….wish me luck as i hope to join in your happiness come Dec…2012 and for those who didn’ t make it dust your self off and try again you ll do it better …..yaaaaaaayyyyyyy
