“select a sample of pre and post yr GDNs and confirm that pst-yr end GDNs are not included in the current period”
and
“compare the total TRs in the current yr to prior year, investigate any significant differences”
maam can you tell why the above procedures were not included in the answer provided by the examiner?
Because the question says:
“… substantive procedures … in relation to the MATTERS IDENTIFIED” – which for TR is the risk of overstatement due to insufficient allowance.Please look at my post “How to score marks in AA – essential guidance” at the top of this forum for a link to marking guidance. There is a similar substantive procedures Q covered in detail in that.
