Sir, If a question asks for a particular model like the DMAIC (or adopting six sigma) model or Five Forces or anything else, do we need to explain the model for like 2-3 marks or just dive in applying it to the scenario?
I have seen past questions in which there was award for mentioning the model but there was sufficient marks (to obtain full marks) for just diving in and not explaining, however, there were also questions where the marking scheme allotted no credit for explaining the model in question; so this is confusing…
Generally, you are much safer applying models than explaining them. This exam is primarily about the application of knowledge, not the display of knowledge.
Alright, I think I’ll write one line of explanation as long as it’s right on top of my head…
