    Daisy received a salary of £19,500 (PAYE deducted of £1,400). She also received £10,000 bank
    deposit interest and dividend income of £1,000 in 2023/24.
    Calculate Daisy’s income tax payable for 2023/24

    hi i wanna know why are we not adding back the paye in the emploment income are we not supposed to take gross? the answis is 1786. why are we taking emplyment income as 19500 instead of 20900?

    The salary quoted in gross and then PAYE is taken in advance
