can you please explain in simple terms what is meant by an inbound logistics and an outbound logistics. Thank you very much for your help.

Inbound logistics = the process of receiving and storing goods and raw materials. The term does not include the process of ordering as that is part of procurement. For example, do you have lots of raw material in inventory or do you try to minimise that?
Outbound logistics = getting your products to your customers. For example, do you have your own delivery fleet or do you use a haulage company?
