I was seriously ill and I couldn’t attend college for 1 and Half months and I am going to attempt F9 and P2 and I didn’t even studied for these 2 papers , as for P2 I have some fair knowledge of standards and Consolidation but for F9 I hardly have Investment Appraisal techniques knowledge and I currently accepted a job with an NGO as an Audit Trainee I only go on Thursday and Friday , I have hardly 50 days, please advice me how to tackle these two exams . A good plane would be highly helpful because I can’t make a good study plan .

50 days is enough if you use them sensibly 🙂

What you need to do is download the free course notes for each paper. Count the number of chapters in total, and divide by 40 (I will explain why 40 shortly 🙂 ).

That will give you the number of chapters that you need to work through on each of your available days. If you find that some days you can work through more then do 🙂

The course notes on their own are not enough – you need for each chapter to watch the lecture that goes with it (in the lecture we work through the examples and explain more about what we are doing). (A few of the chapters do not have lectures – they are for you to read on your own).

Work through the chapters in order (together, again, with the lectures).

The reason I said to divide by 40 days, is that when you have watched all the lectures, you need to spend the remaining 10 days practicing questions. For this you must make sure you have Revision/Exam Kits from one of the approved publishers (they contain lots of exam standard questions) and you must work through every question. Don’t simply look straight at the answers – try them properly yourself and then look at the answers and learn from your mistakes.

If anything is not making sense to you in the lectures, or if you do not understand the answers in the Revision Kit, then ask in the relevant Ask the Tutor Forum and we will try and help 🙂

Hope that helps a bit 🙂
