Hello Sir, I would like to know the rationale or reason that the impairment loss allocation to CGU is only proportionate to the NCA but not CA(eg. ST investment) after first allocated to the GW?Why only the NCA subjected to the impairment loss?
Because CA are already carried at the lower of cost and NRV – you cannot write them down further.
