Hi
What does it mean by impairment reversed?
Thanks
Where an asset has been impaired and then, subsequently, the directors feel they were too hasty or too pessimistic, there is the opportunity to reverse the double entry that they put through to impair the asset
Thus, on impairment Dr Statement of Income and Credit TNCA
On reversal, Dr TNCA and Cr Statement of Income
But not to a value greater than the asset would have been if it had not been impaired in the first place
OK?
