USE SUMMARIES TO STUDY AND STUDY IN SHORT BLOCKS. DON’T COVER THE ENTIRE STANDARD IN A WHOLE BIG CHUNK OF 3 HOURS. SPREAD IT OVER HALF AND HOUR AND KEEP REPEATING/REVIEWING YOUR KNOWLEDGE SO YOU DON’T FORGET

    Hi Gabriel,

Thanks a Lot. Details provided in the Text is to complicated, especially for FI, Emp benefits..etc. Is there any material available online for easy understanding.

I agreed with seagoat. I could not digest BPP textbook, the way they present the information is not very clear to me. I printed the material from IASPLUS to study.

Basically, I read the theory part several time then attempt the exercise.

The best way to study IFRS/IAS is to read the whole standard and write down only the important stuff on a piece of paper. This helps your brain to grasp the standard in a jiffy.

For anyone’s convenience, i have written the whole IFRS 9 including introduction, measurement and disclosure down to one page.

Anyone interested, mail me at sandeepspai2010@gmail.com.

Why don’t you guys try the opentuition videos on the IFRS/IAS. They pretty much covers the thoery behind the standards. Its just around 2 hours per standards. You can then read on IAS plus to remember and then practice the exam kit questions for retention. I tried to read through the BPP textbook but its too bulky.

Join one of the best coaching institute for cracking the exam in one attempt. Because their methods and techniques are quite simple to understand. Also time management is taught by experienced faculty so that students can solve tricky questions in minimum time.
