    We are all know that IFRS 9’s final version released on July 2014. So can we avoid IAS 39 totally for exam dec 2014?
    Since IFRS 9 is final, so as current issue IAS 39/hedge accounting whether any possibility in Ques 4 on P2.

    Hi, NO, you cannot ignore IAS 39

    Check out the examinable documents for p2 on this site and you’ll see that IAS 39 features in both F7 and P2 syllabi

    You’re correct in suggesting that it could be a topic for question 4 in P2 for December 2014 and it’s my personal opinion that it is unlikely in F7 except maybe as a 2 mark multiple choice question
