IFRS 13 – Valuation of asset and liability (general query)

Hi,

I was going through the standard, and it mentioned that in case the market activity declines, a valuation technique may be used, however, emphasis must be on whether is a forced sale or orderly transaction. This might be a dumb question, but why is the emphasis important?
