Hi Mike!
Concerning restructuring, could you explain how cost of retaining the staff, marketing costs are not included in the provision calculation?
In what way they do not satisfied the criteria of IAS 37 so that they are not included in the provision?

We have no control over the staff – they may leave at any time … so they fail to satisfy the definition of an asset (a resource over which we have control …)
Marketing costs sound to me very much like period costs to be expensed in the year in which they are incurred
OK?
