please if the value in use of an asset and the discounting factor for the same year as the accounting year in question is given,do I still discount the figure or NOT since it relates to the same year in the question
If value in use is given, I can only assume that this is the discounted value of the estimated future cash flows – that’s what value in use is. Have you really come across a question that gives you both a figure for value in use as well as the company’s cost of capital?
