As per ias 32, carrying amount of equity component in compound instrument is found by deducting carrying amount of financial liabilities from fair value of compound instrument. Can we find financial liabilities amount by finding out ca of equity instrument?
I believe it’s a bit impossible to find the value of the equity element ( if only because of the volatility of share values ).
Stick with the idea of valuing the liability and deducting that amount from the compound value
