Hi, I’ve no idea why I keep forgetting or I am way too conscious that I may use something thats not allowable, is it black ‘ball pen’ or black pointer or just anything that’s black?
Thanks in advance, God bless.
ACCA’s instructions are:
“Please use black pen to complete your details on the booklet and when answering the exam questions. Pencil, fountain pens, gel pens and other colours of pen will not be picked up by the scanning technology and could result in questions not being marked correctly.”
We interpret this to mean a black ball point (‘Biro’). I don’t know if a rollerball type pen (‘Pentel’) is safe or not.
HI can you use a highlighter on your answer script?
My handwriting quite messy so was considering highlighting key points?
Thanks
I don’t think highlighter is likely to be picked up in a scan. Underline instead.
Thanks.
highlighter does not get picked up by scan. Neither do other colours. Just stick to the black pen.
hi my handwriting is not that good you re saying that u must use black ball pen but iam not comfortable with ball pen a pointer or a gell pen would be fine ?
I used gel pen in June 2013, first time for my last ACCA exam and it worked ok.
I changed from ball pen to gel pen because when I scanned my first assessment for Kaplan course the scanned document was almost illegible.
