hi, for those who have passed P1, may I know what is the way to pass it? I am worrying that my study method does not work to pass it π
February 1, 2015 at 8:03 am #224579I suppose it’s no good me answering because you know what I’m going to say!
But here it is again anyway!
With course notes in front of you, watch the lecture recordings. Do that twice (if you can!)
Then get into a revision kit / exam kit / pile of downloaded past exams and start reading. Read a question, read the answer, read a question, read the answer and so on and so on
Very soon you’ll realise just how repetitive these questions and answers are and you’ll be planning as you read the question what you think will be in the answer.
Read, read and read!
Ok? Hope it helps

February 20, 2015 at 11:13 pm #229439Laura, my way of passing exam was attempting all the questions whether you have perfect answer or not. Don’t leave out any questions! I seriously thought I would fail but gave my best shot. I had such silly answers but managed to attempt all the questions and I was over the moon when I got result with 59% pass. I repeat: attempt all the question no matter how silly you think your answer would sound like.
March 2, 2015 at 8:30 pm #231010Memorize and then write like there is no tomorrow. I failed my first attempt with 49% then passed the second time with 51%.
Skip any obscure questions and get your hand going. The more you unload the more confident you feel when you leave the exam hall. I knew I passed the 2nd time round just because I wrote like a mad man.
lol in the 15 minutes. take one minute to skim through the paper and eliminate all the questions you dislike and write quick bullet points next to each question to clear your mind. Then you will be INVINCIBLE!
March 16, 2015 at 9:59 pm #232640Hakunamatata does not mean attempt ALL questions! That way lies disaster. He really means “identify which option question you are NOT going to attempt – but still read it because it may contain something useful for your other answers. Then, having identified the three questions that you ARE going to answer, follow the advice given on multiple occasions on this site about planning and about exam technique
