I don’t see the regular poll on the exams as usual, so wanna ask you guys how was your exam last Wed?
I know time management is the key point but still, I couldn’t cover 100% of the paper.
Got a bit confused by the first question on the pharmaceutical organization, and then pretty messed up with 5S content.
Anyways, imo the exam was quite fair, and doable.
July 10, 2020 at 6:50 pm #576523What came in the exam?
which topics examined?July 13, 2020 at 2:52 am #576656Yes.
1/The 50 marks question is quite tricky with the requirement in hidden inside the scenario a lot, failing to properly detect it should result to long writing that waste time and not score mark. The exam area on Value for money, BSC, 5S is quite familiar but the business model: pharmaceutical testing is quite tricky and really get confuse who is the customer. (the pharmaceutical company, the government, or end user medicine).
2/ Question on risk and uncertainty and a partnership is decent.
3/ Performance pyramid is a familiar topic but it is bring with a strange way which also can make confuse.
Generally, I think the Exam is fair and it require the full picture understand the scenario than the try to spot question.
I hope I can pass, haiz.July 13, 2020 at 11:40 pm #576742BSC ,5S, VFM,PP,RISK AND UNCERTAINTY……….
September 4, 2020 at 8:16 pm #583498Hi Could you kindly clarify what’s BSC and 5S stands for please?
September 5, 2020 at 11:14 am #583561Balanced Scorecard and the 5S model is in relation to Lean Techniques (something which the OpenTuition lectures don’t cover but there’s a technical article for it on the ACCA website).
September 5, 2020 at 2:11 pm #583570Are 5S and Lean Techniques still on a syllabus – it is not on the notes when I search for it?
September 6, 2020 at 6:32 pm #5837125S for lean:
Systemise: arrange items to make it easy to use with some sort of system in place.
Sanitise: keep tidy and avoid unnecessary items. Minimal processes. Don’t over complicate.
Structurise: have order.
Standardise: be consistent (across the business, within depts/SBUs)
Self – discipline: do above dailyThe aim of 5S is to create a workplace which is in order. Helps to create lean production which is about cutting waste and unnecessary activities.
