    Hi sir,
I am doing F8 right now, I needed your advise badly on how to write my answer to gain more marks. I hope I can pass my F8 in Dec sitting.
Most of my friends has been attempted quite a number times but they keeping failed. I am worry on this coming Dec sitting. Seem like want to passing F8 in first attempt is not really possible?

It is possible but you have to do the following:

1 Look at the mark allocation and judge from that the time you can spend and the detail you can go into. Be strict with yourself.

2 Ensure you comply the question verbs. Often there are more than one eg identify and explain…, list and suggest…, identify and evaluate…. . The explain, suggest and evaluate will gain more marks then list and identify, but too many people leave out the second verb.

3 Address the scenario. The majority of marks in the exam are not for regurgitating knowledge but for applying your auditing knowledge to auditing problems described in the question.

4 When describing an audit test always state which assertion you are attacking.

5 Do lots of questoin practice and take careful notes of the answers.
