    Hi all

What is the best way to study for P7 with Kaplan materials? I have 2 options. Is it best to read the chapter first and then practice the questions or better to make notes as you go along and then do the questions closer to exam time? This exam looks like a real challenge.

    Thanks

Get your accounting standards in P2 updated, since the examiner is a P2 lecturer. There is a high chance of complex P2 items entering into P7 that can blind most of the students.

Read the examiner’s comments after the December 2013 session. She says yet again that the standard of Accounting knowledge is poor! Read past questions and answers. Read the exam technique articles on this site written both by me and by members of the P3 marking team (Student Accountant about 2 years ago)

And then practice reading a question and planning in bullet form (one word memory joggers is enough) to see how many markable thoughts you could include in an answer. If it’s a ten mark question, read and plan in bullet format for 5 minutes and see if you can get to ten points. Because that is what you should be aiming for
