    Hi

I am planning to sit P4 in December. I am going to buy distance learning and attend a revision course.

Do you think that it is better to buy tuition and then revise at home on my own or better to do what I am planning – read at home and then but revision course.

I believe the best option would be to but the whole course but I have to choose. So please advice what to do.

    Thx

if you can manage your time and cost then go for full course tuition..
taking classes and revising on daily basis at home will make you to pass P4!
Mind it P4 is very technical paper but it is easy to pass also..
Grasp concept and practice practice practice but not blind practice πŸ™‚
    Good Luck

    Hi

I wish I could go for a full course but unfortunately I can’t.

I decided to read at home and then buy revision course. I hope it will be enough. Obviously I will practice and I hope it will be enough.

Being honet when I read people’s comments about P4 I feel like I shoudl choose other subject !!!

yeah!! it looks much difficult but it is not…

Do it in your way and take it easy.. I am saying this because I have passed this paper in first attempt so everyone can do this πŸ™‚

Do you work ? Because if you do I would suggest to do only two papers. People say that P4 is a very difficult one and P2 is not a very easy one.

i think P2 is more difficult.
P4, it’s heaven’s bless they fired bob, now the paper is back to normal acca standard. When i practiced revision kit, I simply skipped all bob’s questions.

I used both Bpp and kaplan kits, and self-studied at full-time. would recommend Bpp this time, more like new examier’s style. I genuinely believed I failed? but actually passed with relatively high mark. Definitely, practicing questions is the best best way to pass.

Very interesting thread. I am on the last two optional papers and planning to take P4 and any other paper in December. which one of the three optional papers (P5, P6, & P7) shall I add to P4? I work full time and home study for all the past acca papers and will continue in the same manner for the remaining too. the other problem is I dislike Bpp which seems full of stuff and unnecessary details but have no option since no kaplan is available in Ethiopia this time. i lost confidence in reading Bpp as i used to read kaplan texts as i like its presentation and contenet very much. is there any difference to use either kaplan or Bpp kits?

Yes i work and self study. I have gone through the P4 syllabus and like you suggested am winding down to 2 papers. (P2 and P5). I feel scared of P4 because of the many formulas and assumptions and I bet, it would require a lot more practice. I hope to write P4 in June next year and then…………will be freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    @ flower

blind practice means remembering the answers and steps from kit like a parrot…
such practice does not work in exam!! as there come new questions not from kit..
so conceptual practice will help there…
