Dear sir,
I would be very glad if you give me a guideline about how to be prepared for F4 exam .I also want to know whether I should collect a study text and the standard time allocation for F4 exam preparationThanks in advance
March 11, 2018 at 8:23 am #442143There is no such thing as a standard time allocation for studying – every student is different both in their learning and retention abilities and in their private lives and motivation
Study text? Save your money
Revision kit? ABSOLUTELY yes!
Watch the lectures, read the notes (you can read those notes start to finish in around 2 hours – just reading, not trying to memorise
Read those notes at least once each week
Open a revision kit and start trying to answer questions. You will have no idea of the correct answer so be prepared to score less than 20%
Try those same questions a week later and be prepared to score around 40%
Try them again a week later and you’re up to around 60%
Do that for all the questions in the revision kit – practice, practice, practice
Keep reading those course notes and watching the lectures
Do NOT write your answer attempts in the revision kit – write them on a separate piece of paper so that your later attempts at those same questions will not be influenced by your earlier attempts
And, whenever you come across something that you don’t fully understand, post your question on this forum and I shall get back to you
OK?
