Hi Everyone
Am currently revising but i feel so overwhelmed with all the information that i have to remember. Can someone kindly tell me from previous experience how reliable exam tips are? I feel like time is running out and i keep forgetting most of the things am studying. Help!!!
November 10, 2014 at 9:07 pm #208912In honesty I have found exam some of the exam tips given to by some commentators to be so general and obvious as to be useless. For example, tipping standard costing or budgeting to be examined in F5, the cost of capital to be examined in F9 or consolidated group accounts with a non-controlling interest to be examined in F7.Frankly, these type of tips are about as useful as encouraging people to bet each way on the boat race.Other tips may be more useful but I am not convinced they are that much more predictive than chance in determining what may come up.You are probably better familiarising yourself with syllabus, looking at technical articles written and looking at past exam questions.

The exam tips are only good when you have “missed out” certain topics. My advice is continue to work hard. You still have about 3 weeks before the exams. Good luck.

As said, they are usually totally general
Im not even sure why the magazines print them, it gives people false hope
