I have read some where that ROCE is pronounced ‘Rocky’ (ROC-E). is this correct?
I am just doing my part in keeping the common errors common :P. Im sure it wont be tested, but there is no harm in knowing yeah?
To be honest, although most people spell it as ROCE, when they speak it they tend to say the whole thing – return on capital employed 🙂
(In America they do say ‘rock-ee’ but thats is America!!)
Haha this caused quite a bit of a stir in my F5 class last semester. One guy was adamant it was pronounced “Royce” as in Rolls Royce. 🙂
🙂
Personally, I pronounce it Rotchy
Hahaha, it made me laugh 🙂
My tutor of F6 used to pronounce ‘death tax’ as ‘dess tax’ 🙂 We used to laugh in class…
But he is an excellent tutor and I’m grateful to him.
