You are a life saver James…Thanks for these tips…I feel very grateful that I stumbled on this detailed answer you shared. I am definitely the one person this post has helped…I totally understand the message you are trying to potray as I experienced nay sayers like this when I was doing my exams for my country’s Chartered accountancy exam about 2 years ago…I always attempted multiple papers and people would be negative and say it wasn’t possible to pass but I always did with flying colors by studying hard and smart..attempting multiple papers with ACCA was making me nervous but your answer has given me confidence that with hardwork, good time management and smart studying its entirely possible to achieve…so thank you so much for that.

March 24, 2021 at 8:37 am #615101Honestly when I first decided to take 2 exams at the same sitting, I was scared. I am also a full-timer but being grateful that I have opportunities to work from home during this last year. This saved me lots of time travelling and can spend more time on studying. I studied for F5 and F7 for roughly 2 months and I don’t think I have enough time at first, but at the end of month 1, I already finished all textbooks, all exam kits (even did them all 3 times). I didn’t spend much time but I truly focused while study. During the second month, I was just reviewing and redo (again) all the exercise in exam kits and really understand the questions (why the option is correct and the other is incorrect) and ready all technical articles in ACCA website (100% helpful). ACCA exam is difficult since it is broad, it requires true understanding instead of just learn-by-heart stuff. But I did well thanks to Opentuition lectures π and yes, please don’t be afraid to take multiple exams at one sitting. It is possible π
March 26, 2021 at 4:51 pm #615261@mainai92 wow thats pretty impressive! How many hours a day did you do in the two months and do you have any tips?
May 24, 2021 at 3:26 pm #621643interesting discussion. May I ask you where you did find the past papers with their answers?
May 24, 2021 at 5:20 pm #621657Just find the relevant resources page on ACCA’s www – e.g. here for PM https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f5.html and there’s a “past exams” section.
CBE Specimen and practice exams (and answers) are also available in the CBE Platform https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f5/cbe-question-practice.html

June 17, 2021 at 10:11 am #625551Hello guys. Hope you are all well. I am new comer here and I am planning to do ACCA, I will start from scratch, for instance, the knowledge part. I am working full time but the work is not much like my previous work. Now I can study while I am on duty or at office, that is why I decided to do ACCA.
Any suggestions? any recommendations as a new starter?
I will be very grateful if you would advice me as how I should start and what to do.
And to be honest I enjoyed reading all the above posts.
Thanks to anyone who participated.

Mohamed.

March 12, 2022 at 6:50 am #651111Thanks for this! I have just sat an exam which took me a year to revise for.
I used kaplan, open tuition and spent money on online learning also.
This time seemed long and difficult trying to find the right way to learn and was demoralising.
You have inspired me by explaining your method.March 24, 2022 at 12:14 pm #651805Thanks a lot for information
August 8, 2022 at 11:42 am #662673Allot plenty of time for revision while you frame your study calendar. Cover all the portions in advance, and leave enough time for revising it multiple times before the exam. You need to learn and allot time to thoroughly understand what you’ve learned. This way you can perform better in your ACCA exams.
October 3, 2022 at 5:17 pm #667805Thank you James for this. You’re too kind and motivating, would love to have friends like you!
