    hi

just wondering how people have been revising the chapters where no video lectures are available online

also, i’ve been told that going through the lecture notes only is not enough. what extra study have you done on top of going through the lecture notes?

    thanks

but i’ve only got the notes from here which are meant to be filled in as you go along. do you recommend buying one of the two recommended text books? if so which one?

Patrick advertised a Christmas sale in a local newspaper as follows:” Grand Xmas sale, appliances at give away price. First 10 customers will get free electronic ovens”. The day the advertisement was published, Mary responded to it by faxing a letter of acceptance and Jane also visited the store and bought a deep freezer, She was the fifth customer that morning.Meanwhile, Patrick discovered that he was unable to obtain the electric
ovens at a cheap price due to a fire accident at his supplier’s warehouse.
Patrick therefore placed another advertisement the next day canceling
the free gift and apologizing for inconveniences.

Mary and Jane are insisting that they are entitled to the free oven.

    Advise Mary and Jane.

It is an invitation to treat so the owner may accept or decline the offer like case partridge v/s crittenden .

    Well hope it is oki

The central point here ( I believe ) is that adverts are invitations and are not therefore offers capable of being accepted. I don’t think that Mary has any chance of claiming successfully her right to an oven.

    And who is Jane! ????
