Just as described in the title, I would like to know if the BPP study guide has similar chapters to those covered in the opentuition lectures? How do they match?

They don’t match. BPP have designed their syllabus according to their own understanding of what it takes to pass F1. Opentuition Lectures are designed according to the lecturers’ understanding. BOTH contain the content and concepts that will help you pass the exam. Don’t think either of them are missing anything or are not enough to help you pass.

The choice is yours. You can either use BPP text or Opentuition Lectures. But in any case, you MUST buy a revision kit from one of ACCA’s approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions that will help you better prepare for the exam.

I have passed F1-F4 and found them to be relatively easy. I have a degree in Sport Science and have never worked in accountancy. I skipped between Opentuition and BPP study text. Opentuition, you really do need the lecture notes in front of you. My laptop does not have capacity to split the screen between the lecture and the notes. Therefore, I tend to read a section of the study text then use the notes to attempt the examples while listening to the lecture. I am self studying around working full time, so using time efficently is critical to me. Changing between the methods keeps my mind fresh. I purchase the ACCA practice tests instead of an exam kit, three of them. Found the feedback and genuine replica of exam format to be an excellent revision tool.
