I heard that we cannot be penalised twice in calculations for errors carried forward.
But do I get credit for discussion-based answers which are relevant and accurate to my own calculations, with my calculations being wrong?
Hope this was clear.November 24, 2020 at 5:22 pm #596308Yes. You get credit for properly discussing the figures that you calculated even if your figures are wrong and it results in you coming to different conclusions.
So giving a very basic example, if you were required to calculate an NPV and the correct answer is that it is a positive NPV, then the correct discussion would obviously be to say that the project should be accepted.
If you make a calculation mistake and get a negative NPV then obviously you would lose some marks for the calculations. However if you discussed correctly and said that it should be rejected because it is negative, then you would get full marks for the discussion 🙂 - AuthorPosts
