    Hi All,

How’s it going with your P1 studies?

Struggling a bit if I’m honest. It’s hard to know how close I am to a pass or fail when I’m self marking the questions from the revision kit.

I feel that I’ve written a reasonable point, but then the answer in the back doesn’t have that particular point that I’ve made. I think it’s a good point (but I’m biased!), but not sure whether I would get a mark for that in the exam itself.

This is my first P paper, as it seemed a lot easier self marking for the F papers. Anyone else finding the same thing?

Which revision kit are you using? I’m hit and miss too but trying to maintain positive. As long as your answer is backed up logically then it should be fine.

You should buddy up with someone who can mark your paper. Thats what I intend to do.

I’ve got LBSF, but I also got hold of a copy of BPP. I’m mainly using BPP, but if I can’t find my answer in BPP, I’ll check in LBSF and sometimes I find it in there which is encouraging. It is hard to gauge though how generous the marker is going to be. I think I’d struggle marking someone else’s work for the same reason.

One positive thing is that the pass mark on this exam seems higher than some of the Skills papers, so that’s what I’m trying to keep in mind.

You seem to be on the right tracks, hang in there 🙂

Meanwhile, I’m not having much of a productive day today 🙁

Oh dear. Are you just doing P1 or another exam too? I’m also studying for P3 and working full time, so time is very precious. I find having a few breaks when you start to get bored helps, and then you go back at it with more energy.

I’ve just started revising for this subject whilst revising for P two.

Do you think there’s still enough time?
