Dear tutor,
Please could you advise how strongly is AFM and APM linked to SBL?
I read AFM and APM syllabuses and it shows direct link. However, this morning I called ACCA and they said that AFM has only indirect link. I am confused.
The reason I need to know is because I don’t know which second Options paper I should choose.
The first one is APM.
The second one is a dilemma. I want to do ATX but FM was the lowest mark I got in my fundamentals therefore I’m thinking that my knowledge relating to FM won’t be enough for SBL exam and hence I’m thinking maybe it’s better to choose AFM instead of ATX?
Also, I did F6 years ago. This could be an issue too:( F9 I did last year.
P.S. I’m not looking to do anything with tax in the future but I think it’s a useful knowledge to have. So I don’t know if it’s better to choose AFM or ATX.
P.P.S. Why don’t you have ATX videos?
March 11, 2019 at 5:47 pm #509076We don’t have ATX videos because there are son many localised syllabuses and we can’t develop and deliver free of charge. Note that ATX knowledge quickly goes out of date.
In my opinion there is no link between AFM and SBL. APM is a more relevant.
