So I understand that highest and best use means that if an asset has a higher value with other assets in a group then you use this but if it has a higher value on its own you use that value but obviously any asset would be valued higher with other assets because theres more assets in the group so higher value so that doesn’t really make sense to me? I don’t really understand this concept
please help explain

It sounds to me like a re-iteration of the cliched statement that the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts
