Hi
Im really confused on how to study for FM. Its really difficult for me to sit still and learn theory. The study text looks so daunting and text-heavy. I really feel like i need to go through it twice and if I had more time thrice because my memory has gotten really bad lol and I would hardly remember anything if I did it just once. However there are soo many pages in this book and most of them are full of theory and concepts and I really doubt I’ll be able to go through it twice with the amount of time I have. Normally I would check how many pages there are in the book and go through it twice and also do Section A and B questions, while saving time at the end to do the Section C questions and mock exams. This has helped me pass the exams until now. Im doing this module with kaplans on demand course btw. This is my first time studying for FM. (Exam is in september) And I know we are not expected to memorize the text but i just feel like i have such bad memory i need to do something. I feel like my study technique leans more towards memorizing which i know is really bad and not efficient. I dont know how i would learn the concepts and apply the knowlege if i did this. I do usually use this technique and obviously end up learning the concepts too this way but i really wanna improve my technique to be able to learn and apply concepts better rather than just memorize and apply the knowledge. Sometimes i feel like if I try to just understand concepts and not memorize i feel paranoid and as if im not able to put my thoughts in my answers and that i have nothing to write. Any advice on how to study more efficiently would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

They are a complete free course for Paper FM and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well (including the theory, and theory is always about 50% of the exam).
If you are watching the lectures then you do not really need the Study Text. The essential book is the Revision Kit because that is full of past exam and other exam standard questions to practice after you have finished studying. Practice is vital to passing the exam.
If you have any questions while watching the lectures or while practicing questions in the Revision Kit, then ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum and I will help.
