Where there is no information giving regarding weights about the components betas how would we separate those betas. Reference Question 24 of Kaplan Kit where although there are two industries but combined beta and beta one industry in given. Question doesn’t provide any information. Solution has divided on basis on equity which is really irritating
I don’t have the Kaplan kit here but if you have the proportion of each industry and the beta of one and the total beta it’s simple algebra to solve for the second beta.
