I am in serious trouble guys. Need your help. I received a Result letter stating my work is forwarded to Academic Conduct Officer as they may suspect it is pilagerised. It says,
“Your Research and Analysis Project has been sent to the Academic Conduct Officer for further investigation as one of
the marking team has raised a concern over the academic practice of your work. For example, this could be because of
an absence of referencing in some passages, or because it is thought that verbatim quotations (using the same words
as the source) have not been shown as quotations. It could also be because it is suspected that the work is not entirely
your own. The electronic version you provided has also been passed through Turnitin”Please help me that what will happen and does anyone else received similar response?
Hi Atif,
After a lengthy wait I have received a same letter today… It could be that the software erroneously detected our projects.
Don’t know what’s going on.Lets wait & hope for the best!

I have also received similar letter. I dont know, what went wrong. I have checked my project using writecheck before submission and there was no plagiarism. I hope that every thing turns out good. what could be the problem if not plagiarism?

@arsalankamran.. i think if it is not pilagerism then it might have some referencing errors.
The real problem is we need to wait sooo long to get their decision.

I have received a similar letter as well. They in all likelihood are investigating a potential case of plagiarism. However, I can vouch for the fact that I didn’t plagiarize a single word. My project in its entirety was my own work. Does anyone have any relevant information pertaining to this issue that he/she may want to share?
Received same letter, Very strange for me as well.I mean is this the result of hard work ? And the time period they gave us is too long. Just frustrated.

ThanksLets see what will happen. Problem is about three months have passed from when i wrote the RAP and now completely forgot. I even don’t remember how i referred.
Strange, peeple who have done honestly are served notices? sounds turnitin is not qualified to detect, giving false positive. It means 5% (or so) peeple who are put into turnitin are put into trouble.

I submitted my project in Nov,2013 period 27 and was anxiously waiting for my result today but got really upset when I saw that my result has been deferred and project has been referred to academic conduct officer.
I am very stressed as I did my project myself and didn’t copy.
Can u and any other person can help me that what will happen after this?
when are the chances of getting my result?how long do they take?
I hope I pass it.
