    Financial asset vs monetary asset

    Similarly…

    Non-financial asset vs non-monetary asset

    FA = shares + debt + derivatives
    MA – as above except shares

    NFA / NMA = anything except the above.

    Just remember to talk about:

    FA v NFA – with financial instruments
    MA v NMA – with FX

    And don’t forget to learn all the definitions
