Please could anyone explain in easy way to understand Heifetz theory . i am having difficulty understanding it’s concept. thanks
What Heifetz was saying is that in leadership there is an importance of social relations as well. So his theory highlights the sociological and political aspects of leadership.
In his opinion a leaders individual qualities are less important then leadership process and the relations created and sustained within it.
So what it means is that its not all about physical attributes or qualities of a person that makes him a leader. Its more of a adaptive thing where one adopt and create relation and work with different personalities and see how to make best use of everyone. So playing a bit of political and sociological role. thats why its called adaptive or dispersed leadership theory
Nicely explained. Thanks.
