    Hello,
OK, so here is my predicament… I have fallen stupidly far behind on my study due to personal reasons and I am due to sit P7 in Sept – I am wondering if it is possible to prepare fully for this exam in the next 2 weeks while also working a 40hour week or am I being silly? If so, what should I be focusing on? Should I get the OT lectures completed first and then look through exam Q??
I did F8 in June 2015 and content is somewhat fresh in my brain but I am slightly panicing now that I have run out of time…

    Any advice would be appreciated

Read through the course notes – twice (2 hours tops from start to finish once through)

Pay particular attention to audit reports and read the technical article:

at least once every 2 days

Then sometime in the next 24 hours start to read the revision kit questions and answers. Do that for as many hours as you have available over the next 9 days gets us to 31 August

Next 4 days practice PLANNING audit answers

Divide number of marks per question by 2 and that’s the number of minutes you should spend just planning what you would write in an exam answer

Discover exactly how much you are able to write (legibly) in 1 minute 18 seconds (you may need a friend to time you accurately)

That now tells you the maximum length of a sentence / paragraph in the exam

And each separate sentence / paragraph contains ONE markable point

    Any questions, post again

What are the changes to p7 that are effective this September sitting. I’m writing p7 in September. I have tried searching on the acca website but can’t seem to find anything. I don’t know how to the changes I’m hearing about from my colleagues

    Here’s the link

    Scroll down to page 15!

And next time, start your own thread! Your question has nothing to do with Linda’s issues!

Thank you – I read through the course notes last night as per your advice and will do so again tonight – do you think I should forget about the lectures at this late stage?

Also, I forgot to mention that I am enrolled in the Irish variant of P7 – is there any differences between Irish and UK variant?

I don’t believe that there is a World of difference between Irish and UK variants

At this stage I think you should be totally immersed in past exam questions and answers

If you had asked me 5 weeks ago when the results were published following the June exam, my advice would likely have been different

But with just over 2 weeks to the September exam ….
