Hey
I just got done with P2 today and I’m taking classes with college for the P3 but I’ll be watching your lectures as well just to cement the knowledge. With my tutor at college we’re almost done with the syllabus so now is a good time to revise everything up.
I’m very curious and love thinking. Which is the opposite of what P2 was and is exactly what p3 is right?
As part of my curiosity, I read on the about page that you founded one of the first accountancy e-learning companies in the UK, which was subsequently purchased by BPP.
Can you tell me more about this? What was the E learning company about and stuff?
Secondly, why are the lectures so short? How have you managed to cover the entire syllabus into such short lectures?
Thirdly, what work do you expect us to do to effectively use the resources here to pass the exam?
Thanks

The e-learning company was absorbed by BPP as part of their learning media offering. Originally the products were interactive learning programs (computer-based training) without video or sound. Now that Internet speeds are generally much greater, video lectures are possible and more popular.
The lectures are short because we concentrate on the core elements you need to know. As said in the first paragraph, the exam asks you to solve scenarios and this can be achieved if you know and apply the core elements. You will rarely, if ever, be asked to describe models.
Listen to the lectures and read the accompanying notes. Then question practise is the key. See how the answers target the information given in the question and attempt to analyse problems and produce solutions.

Just wondering why you haven’t made a lecture on a more recent paper especially since (I strongly believe) watching a tutor answer a question is the second best way to build up exam confidence and technique.
The first one being practice of course. But its hard to practice when you dont have the basic technique.
What I’m saying is, will you be recording a revision lecture on one of the more recent papers any time soon?
