I have a Kaplan Study Text and Exam Kit from 1 Sept 2014 to 31 Aug 2015 and was wondering if these will still be suitable for taking the exam this year. If there have been any recent syllabus changes please list them.

Why not post this on the Ask ACCA Tutor F4 forum – that way you’re almost guaranteed a reply within 24 hours!
No, there hasn’t been any major change in syllabus so Sept 14 to August 15 should be fine.
However I would concentrate my efforts almost 100% on the exam kit and pretty much ignore the study text!
Constant and frequent repetition of the exam kit questions should do it for you and, where you come across a problem, post it on Ask ACCA Tutor and I shall get back to you
