Hi sir,
does total expenditure variance and total volume variance relate to only the profit/loss or to the costs?

Expenditure variance relates to the costs (which therefore affect the profit).
With regard to the volume variance, it depends whether you mean the sales volume variance of the fixed overhead volume variance.
