part c
the value post acquisition is 29603m. this is the value of equity? correct?
the total number of shares in the the 2nd option ( 1 hav co share for 2 strand wd mean that there are a total of 3000m shares post acq.
so the share value post acq is 29603/3000 which is approx 9.8. is this correct?
i understand that this value wd not be known to strand since they wd not know the synergy gain of 140m and so they wd have to just look at current share values
but this figure tells us that the gain is almost a 100% for strand and that means this offer of shares plus cash gives the strand the entire perium.
ur comments pls
What you have written is correct.
But don’t forget that the current share price of Hav is only $9.24 and so their shareholders do gain as well.
