Hi All,
Has anyone passed E1? I’m currently using the open tuition notes and I have ordered the Kaplan revision kit.
Has anyone actually passed just using these two resources for the new syllabus? Just wondering if I need to order the Kaplan text book
Hi @atiyya, I would highly recommend purchasing the Kaplan study text too. The Open Tuition lectures are great however I found that there was more information within the study text which could be important for the exam. I believe the information to impact framework is referenced throughout the Kaplan study text, however (as far as I can remember) this was not mentioned in the Open Tuition lectures. I would always look at it as if OpenTuition provide you with the majority of the knowledge you will require for your exam which is then refined by reviewing the Kaplan study text.
Hi I passed my E1 exam, I downloaded the open tuition Text and watched the online Lectures. I also purchased the Kaplan Exam Practice kit. I found these were enough

How Hard is the exam compared to the kaplan exam kit?

I sat E1 a few months ago now. If you are passing the Kaplan mock exam and doing consistently well with the assessment questions, you shouldn’t have any problem passing E1.
I personally found E1 the ‘easiest’ out of all the Operational objective test exams. I use the term ‘easiest’ loosely as it is by no means easy, but if you currently work within a finance department, many of the concepts should already be familiar to you.
Information to Impact framework was examined a lot, blockchain, internet of things, ETL, big data etc. You really have to have a firm understanding of the full syllabus.
