April 20, 2016 at 7:26 pm #311958“when should i start self study if i want to give p1 in september” – the moment you have finished reading this response of mine. There’s no point in delaying and the more preparation that you do, the greater your chances of success
“is self study really sufficient or should i hire a teacher” – it has proved to be sufficient for many, many students in the past. It all depends on your own motivation, dedication and personal circumstances
Get an up-to-date revision kit / exam kit from one of the reputable publishers ….. and there is NO way that I am going to say that any one is better than any other.
I will point out to you the availability of taking advantage of the 20% discount on BPP books when you place your order through opentuition (see the black box on the right hand side of this page)
June 2, 2016 at 2:13 pm #318879on bpp offer by the time you add on their mandatory delivery charge you need a large group order for it to be worthwhile. imho
-Bpp best but difficult to read.
-Kaplan easier to read and very good summaries not as comprehensive as bpp.
the choice is personal preference
June 2, 2016 at 2:33 pm #318882Kaplan Text + Open tuition lectures and notes.
Kaplan is concise, easy, relevant, and easy to absorb…
Whereas BPP provides you with overload of information and overload of information is bad in personal and professional context and in many instances you get confused.

If BPP is the best (according to you) then it makes sense to take advantage of the 20% discount because, unless you’re fortunate enough to be able to link in to a large group order, you’re going to face the delivery charge anyway!
