Hello, i want to ask if the loss of a certain company is very huge, and you set the loss off as a group relief against losses of all the companies in the 75% group and some loss still remains. what do we do with that loss? is it carried forward then or just wasted?
When a company uses as much of its loss as it can, or as much as it chooses to, under group relief it still has the same options as to the use of its remaining loss as does a single company, current period, carry back or indeed carry forward. Remember also that group relief is only available for a current period loss.
